A Heartfelt Thank-You to Our Customers

In these uniquely challenging times when so many are affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, we have heard the most amazing stories from our customers that give us hope. And we know there are hundreds more stories from companies around the globe working toward a common goal. To everyone, MasterControl says, “Thank you.”

The Virtual Masters Conference 2020 was a deeply humbling reminder that none of us is facing COVID-19 alone. Instead, we are connected to a community that believes in delivering high-quality products during a time when they are needed most. A look at the numbers demonstrates MasterControl customers are a veritable force helping to combat COVID-19 quickly and effectively.

Integrated DNA Technologies (IDT) achieved large-scale manufacturing of a key component that made it possible to have 33 million tests administered in the United States. And there’s many more inspiring customer stories:

• 62 are working on ways to win the battle against COVID-19.
• 21 are creating or administering tests.
• 13 are pursuing COVID-19 therapies or initiating clinical trials.
• 11 are investigating potential COVID-19 vaccines.
• 10 are manufacturing essential items ranging from face shields to ventilators.

Less than six months ago, it was nearly impossible to predict the impact a novel virus would have on our global health. Yet the life sciences community has quickly adapted in so many ways to develop products, therapies, vaccines and tests.

For example, EpiGuard created a product that appeared to have a niche market, but is now rapidly developing their transport isolators, which make it possible to move highly infectious patients safely from one place to another. Carestream increased production to meet demand for mobile imaging systems that are used to diagnose individuals who might have contracted COVID-19. QuVa Pharma recently reported being able to supply critical medicine to COVID-19 patients who are seriously ill. The ability of life sciences companies to respond to the pandemic is remarkable.

Together we are embracing these new circumstances. We see companies conquer the challenges with remote workforces and gestures of kindness that are more important than ever.  For health care workers, most of whom are working extended hours, Godiva sent more than 600,000 chocolates to hospital and care facilities throughout the United States.

At MasterControl, we feel it is a privilege to work alongside so many individuals and companies that are fighting through this challenge. Our mission has never felt more relevant — to bring life-changing products to more people sooner — and with that, we are committed to supporting our customers however we can.  But most of all, they have our heartfelt gratitude for their work combatting COVID-19.
